Pop Video 2

Cake By The Ocean
Mise En Scene
This music video is set on a beach which creates a relaxed atmosphere and makes it so it doesn't seem so serious.
The costumes they are wearing are colourful and basic which shows that the video doesn't really have a narrative to it, it just has people running at a cake which links in with the pop music genre.
The video uses different props such as a big slice of cake which is in the middle of the beach this creates an enjoyable atmosphere because its not serious.
Throughout the whole video the lighting is high key which makes it seem happy and energetic.

Camerawork
Close ups are used at the start of the video to introduce the audience to the band which creates more of a personal video.
A focus pull is used from the dancing audience to the singer to show how they are connected and how much people are enjoying the song.
A long shot is used to show the band interacting with each other and having fun which makes the video more interactive with the audience.
Ariel shots are used on the band and the crowd dancing together and having fun this shows a community making it more enjoyable for the audience to watch.

Editing
Jump cuts are used throughout the video to break the continuity which means that the video has no real narrative to it. Its also used to create a party like atmosphere to make it seem more realistic.
Slow motion is used when the girls run to the cake and when the man is dancing. The slow motion has been used to make the audience laugh and enjoy the video because its not in a serious way.
Short takes are also used to create a party atmosphere because it makes it seem more hectic and busy like a party.
